Being part of the research team, when the PCCM was invented I was one of the first people to use the system. At the time there were only very limited general sets and the oldest versions were applied to the head only. Applying the PCCM without any expectation I immediately felt very relaxed and blissful. I am usually I very uptight and stressed person so I was overjoyed that I could finally relax! For once my head had stopped spinning with thoughts and I could just enjoy the moment, it was a great feeling.

In just a few days the usual persistent pains in my right shoulder and lower back had relieved and my most stubborn thinking patterns were changing. I could think much more positively and be more open minded about people and situations. I could accept more angles of view and be more understanding. Things that would usually make me opinionated, anxious, and frustrated no longer mattered anymore. These mental changes were so natural that I didn’t even realize them at first until those around me told me so! Usually I had to put a lot of effort in correcting my stubborn thinking patterns which often pop up to affect my emotional state, but now it was effortless. “Wow, what a breakthrough!” I thought.

Things in my everyday life just happened to get smoother and smoother. Apart from being on the PCCM research team I also work part time as a conference organizer at the Hong Kong University and another non-profit organisation. I encountered less problems while working with other people and those who were usually difficult to work with were suddenly helpful. My mind was more clear and my judgments more precise which meant less repetition and less mistakes which increased my work efficiency by a huge percentage.

The next amazing thing was the set that helped my PMS and menstruation problems. I’m the type that has huge mood swings whenever my period comes. Once I applied the La Femme set my frustrations just seemed to dissolve. Even the usual tiredness and lower back pain was gone too!

With the above benefits there was no reason not to use the PCCM. There were no side effects and friends who were also using the PCCM system were benefiting too. With the changes that were already in place, I had every confidence that my body and mind would keep on improving with time.

Ever since I was 14years old I started to develop Dyshidrotic Eczema on my right hand. At that time it was just a small patch on the sides of 2 of my fingers and it would get very itchy all the time. The itchiness would come very suddenly and every time I scratched my fingers the itchiness would then lead to very sudden onset of many deep-seated pruritic, clear vesicles that would burst and create open lesions that would burn with pain every time I moved my hand. The lesions would never heal because the itchiness would happen a few times every day. I noticed a strange pattern that the itchiness would happen every time after my hand was in contact with water and every time I had to do tidying up, packing or handle paper. I never could figure out why.

When I was still a teenager my mother took me to see a dermatologist (skin specialist). At first he recommended me to use Aqueous Cream, when that didn’t work and he recommended I used topical steroids to treat my Dyshidrosis. At first it seemed to have eased the condition but with time my eczema had less and less reaction to the topical steroids prescribed and the dermatologist would have to administer stronger and stronger ones until one time he told me that he could no longer help me because I was already using the strongest topical steroids available. At that time I noticed that the skin on my hands was thinning and the dermatologist explained to me that it was due to the long-term use of the topical steroids. He recommended that I should stop using it because it would be dangerous in the context of my hand dyshidrosis, due to the amount of toxins and bacteria the hands typically come in contact with. Then I tried Chinese herbal medicines. I remember having to drink horrible tasting soups that were black in colour and also soaked my hands in the horrible soup, but it didn’t help at all.

By the time I was in my twenties the eczema had covered all the fingers on my right hand and some fingers on my left hand. At my worse days I could not even stretch my fingers properly because there would be excruciating pain from the open lesions that usually occur at the joints of my fingers. I used to love to draw and make crafts but I could no longer do that because my eczema condition wouldn’t allow it. My fingers were just not mobile and when it was at its worst I could not even hold a pen to write properly. Luckily I usually work with a computer so it didn’t affect my work so much. But this had a huge impact on my social life. I was afraid of meeting new people, afraid that they would see my hand and be afraid every time someone offered me a handshake. I was told that this type of chronic eczema condition was an abnormal function of the immune system that usually runs in the family. It was true because one of my cousins have it and I my grandfather had it too. I got depressed thinking I had to live the rest of my life like this because there was no cure for this type of chronic Dyshidrotic Eczema.

My eczema has been on and off and manageable over the past 5 years but suddenly was at its worse in Nov 2008. It was so bad that my right hand was totally handicapped. I was already using PCCM general sets for a few months and with viewers’ consultation I was “prescribed” with a few additional modules for specialized locations. Gradually there was less itchiness and then I started to notice that the frequency and severity of the lesions began to decrease. This meant that my skin was given a chance to heal. This was so important because previously my condition never allowed my skin to heal. Just as scab was growing to close the lesions the itchiness would cause it break open again and this was a very painful cycle. About 6 weeks later most of my old lesions were healed and new skin was growing. My hand regained its flexibility and I could be a normal person again. I had never felt like this for such a long time! By the second month using the customized PCCM my hands would not itch after taking a shower and I began to test out the extent of how well my eczema had improved by purposely doing things that would usually irritate it. I cleaned my apartment, I washed dishes and to my surprise it did not irritate my hands at all!! I was overwhelmed with joy and I felt so much freedom at the thought that I could start doing all the things that I was afraid of doing for a long long time.

I used to think that life would just get more complicated and health would just get worse but now the future is something that I can look forward to. Each day my joy increases as I hear more and more people benefiting from such a revolutionary product and I feel so fortunate that I can be one of the lucky few to be involved in the discovery and development of the PCCM.
